Where it started
Our History
Water Doctors Water Treatment Company is a division of HMI Water Specialists. Serving customers for over 35 years, we are an industry leader that specializes in custom-built and engineered water-conditioning equipment. Water Doctors is a member of Housing First Minnesota, NARI and the Water Quality Association. Our products and services have received multiple awards from these associations. We strive to provide the most knowledgeable water treatment staff and the most advanced water-conditioning methods on the market.

Our Mission
We strive for the following goals with our customers and community:
- To use environmentally sustainable methods to provide customers with the purest water possible for all situations; residential, commercial, and industrial.
- To promote the health benefits of pure water, both as part of a healthful diet and for other personal needs, by staying at the forefront of the learning curve and passing that education on to consumers.
- To always treat our customers with the utmost respect and to conduct our business with the highest level of integrity and superior ethical policies.
Giving Back
Helping out our community
Water Doctors strives to give back to the community and make a better Minnesota. We support the following organizations through the donation of water filtration products, auction items, and funds.

Minnesota assistance council for veterans (MACV)
Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans is a nonprofit organization that has
been serving Veterans and their families who are homeless or at risk of becoming
homeless across the state of Minnesota since 1990. Their mission is to End
Veteran Homelessness in Minnesota by providing housing, employment and legal
services. That mission is accomplished by providing these services directly and in
collaboration with community partners.
Randy Shaver Cancer Research & Community Fund
The mission of the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund is to support the cancer community in Minnesota by funding research,
prevention, treatment and other programs relating to the cancer community’s needs.
Hope 4 youth
HOPE 4 Youth is a nonprofit organization located in Minnesota that provides pathways to end youth homelessness in our community.
On any given night, there are more than 6,000 homeless young people in the State of Minnesota staying on the streets, many of them
right here in our community. Whether they need basic necessities: food from the food pantry, clothes from the clothing closet, a hot
shower, a hot, nutritious meal, or personal hygiene items – or help finding housing, securing employment, finishing their education,
or accessing health care, we help them find a path that allows them to move forward with their lives – no longer experiencing
homelessness.
